Milling & Engraving system

On Drupa 2000 the Gerber Profile was presented to the international market, a multi-functional machine to make cutting dies, stripping and blanking dies and also mill phenolic counters (Pertinax-counters). At this stage also universal milling machines like Wissner, Kimla, Datron, Cosign and others were presented in the market with great success, as they were/are like perfect and keep also a high resell value, because they can be sold to many other markets.
Today we count over 20 brands of Milling machines represented in the market.
For engraving of Brass and aluminium (small format up to 500 x 500 mm, Datron and Wo Hing are well represented in the die-making market.
Even if in 1988 the first Steel Counter Plate were milled by SMR in Switzerland, it took about 20 years to the market to understand the importance of this creasing technology. Step by step diemakers and just few die-cutters started to produce and use this solution which is today the standard for quality folding boxes. We estimate that over 300 professional machines for producing SCP are today installed world-wide, while over 1000 are for milling Pertinax and stripping tools.
